Hi I’m Kate!
I’m an illustrator based in Edinburgh who creates narratives and characters using a mixture of analogue and digital techniques. My illustrations place emphasis on atmosphere by focusing on lighting, scale and detail.
My work is aimed at both children and adults and my favourite things to illustrate are nature, buildings, people and food. I use realistic motifs coupled with imagination to evoke mood and emotion in the viewer.
My illustrations have featured in a range of magazines, on posters, in zines and most recently, I have illustrated a children's book with a publisher based in Scotland.
My work is well suited to publishing, editorial and advertising projects so I’d love to hear from you if you would like to discuss an idea, commission, or ask me any questions!
